We’re breaking with tradition and planning a cabin trip in December. We plan to go to Broad Creek Scout Reservation if we’re able to reserve suitable cabins. The main event on the trip will be a Scout Skills Competition. Patrols will compete against each other in a series of events. First year scouts will also work on lashings, poisonous plant identification, and have a chance to catch up on knife, ax and fire building skills. We’ll play soccer, touch football, have our troop campfire, and maybe a night-time game. We’re leaving at 7:00 PM Friday Dec. 8. The $35 cost is due at our Nov. 27 meeting.
