On Monday, December 13, Troop 542 held a holiday party and court of honor during which 37 rank advancements and 32 merit badges were awarded. Afterward, each patrol performed a short skit. It was a fun night for everyone as people received awards and watched the skits

The first service project of the year was a highway cleanup on Saturday, March 6. That morning, 17 Scouts and 10 adults braved snow and wind to clean up Fort Washington Avenue from Limekiln Pike to the 309 overpass.
