Many Scouts believe that summer is not complete without a great camping trip. And for Troop 542, this great week of camping, merit badges, and other activities came in the form of Resica Falls Summer Camp, a tradition every summer. The activities kicked off with an opening campfire Sunday night, which helped the Scouts get pumped for the upcoming week. The theme for the week was “Space”, so all activities were based on that theme starting with the campfire. Monday the Scouts started their merit badges for the week, and the evening included a friendly Extraterrestrial Extravaganza featuring field games and music. Thursday brought the Troop Campfire, which included all that Scouts have come to enjoy from the campfire, like singing, skits, and even pizza after the campfire was over. The camp closed Friday night with a ceremony and celebration which showed all the great things Scouts did during the week and ended the week on a high note. The Scouts left Saturday with the memories created that week, the merit badges they earned, and the yearning to come back in 2019, where Resica is sure to provide another amazing week.
