Upcoming Events

Oct 21 – Troop Meeting – 7:30 PM at Supplee – This is our normal weekly meeting. $45 payment for our Resica camping trip is due. Remember to wear your full Class A uniforms for Monday meetings.

Oct 27 – Supplee Trunk or Treat – Monkey Bridge – Supplee will hold its annual Trunk or Treat on Sat, Oct 27 from 3 PM to 5 PM. The event is open to the community and usually very well attended by hundreds of pre-school kids. We will set up our monkey bridge and will need Scouts to help with setup and teardown as well as to operate it. Scouts who help will be credited with service hours.

Nov 1-3 – Tent Camping at Resica – “Wilderness Survival” – Join us at Resica Falls on a thrilling trip that will push you beyond your comfort zone. Scouts will build shelters, start fires, find food and navigate through the wilderness while enjoying the great outdoors. We will leave Friday, November 1 and arrive back at the church Sunday afternoon. The cost of the trip is $45 and is due at our October 21 troop meeting.

Merit Badge Office Hours – In an effort to help Scouts complete any unfinished merit badges, we will now be offering “Office Hours” by appointment on Monday nights from 7:00-7:30. If you/your Scout has a questions about a merit badge or wants to have work evaluated, please fill out the form and we will schedule time with a counselor or instructor. Click here to signup.

Scoutbook – All Scouts and parents MUST have a Scoutbook login in order to submit, track, and manage advancement progress and register for Troop activities. In addition, all intra-Troop communication (texts and emails) is handled via Scoutbook’s messaging platform.

Troop 542 Uniforms – Troop 542 requires Scouts and leaders to wear proper uniforms at our meetings (Class A shirt, green shorts/ pants, Scout belt and socks as well as a Troop 542 neckerchief and slide. If you need to make your uniform complete, please see Paƫ DiFulgo at our meetings. She has the following items available for purchase

Wawa Coupons – Troop 542 raises money for the troop by selling Wawa coupons redeemable for their 6″ Shorti Hoagie. The coupons are $4 which is less than the value of the hoagie and a portion of the $4 goes to the troop to support its activities. This is a great deal! Oct 6 – Eagle Scout Court of Honor – 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM – We celebrated our newest Eagle Scouts! Congratulations to Christopher, Michael, Gregory, and Lance!

Oct 5 – Fall Ecology Project – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM – We cleared brush and overgrowth from a path in a wooded area of Graeme Park in Horsham. Thanks to all those who came and helped!

Sep 29 – Liam MacIntrye’s Eagle Project – COMPLETE! – Liam was able to finish his project on Sunday. Thanks to all of you who were able to come out and help!

Sep 28 – Alan Jiang’s Eagle ProjectCOMPLETE! – Alan was able to finish his project on Saturday, so there is no further help needed on Sunday. Thanks to all of you who were able to come out and help!

Sep 21 – Sep 22 – Backpacking on the Pinchot Trail – We had a great weekend to go backpacking on the southern loop of the Pinchot Trail. The Philmont crew and Experienced crew hiked approximately 14 miles over the two days. The Novice crew hiked approximately 9 miles over the two days. We saw a beautiful waterfall along the way and were able to all stay in the same campsite overnight.
