On Saturday, October 9, Troop 542 Scouts headed to French Creek State Park for a weekend of tent camping and an orienteering competition.
Eight patrols competed to find points throughout the trail system using a compass and map. At each point, the Scouts had to take a picture. The Python patrol won the event. To ensure the Scouts’ safety, everyone slept in their own tents and practiced social distancing. Food was prepared by Scouts taking the cooking merit badge.
On Sunday morning, the Scouts paused for an Interfaith service before packing up and heading home.
